I've always wanted to make a SasuSaku shrine ever since about 3 years ago or so after I read the manga and a few episodes of the anime.
I always told myself that I was gonna make one someday but it never happened because I'm such a lazyass. On the October
20th though I decided to stop lazing around and actually complete it. I started with the layouts and as you can see I came up with not one or two but
three layouts for you to choose from so you could view my site.
This site isn't even PHP skinned or anything like that because I don't like PHP for some reason. I understand what to do and all but I choose to do it the old fashioned way by good 'ol HTML. Yes, I do like making things difficult for myself for some reason. Its mostly to challenge myself to stop being lazy and its been working lately. It took me about a month and two days to finish the site. It doesn't usually take me so long to finish a site but I took my time on this site because its my first shrine (technically 2nd but...). I worked really hard on this site, dedicating about half a day to work on it. I took breaks of course in between by going to the movies, the mall, park and basically have fun with my friends which is probably also why I took so long working on it. You ask where did I possibly have the time to do all this with my schedule? Well, I have vacation for about two months until I get back to school so I'm using up that time to work on the site. The information was all written up by me, the images were screencapped and cropped by me and the layouts were made by me in a course of two days. It was really fun making this site because not only was it focused entirely on SasuSaku (one of my fave OTP's!) but also on Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura themselves. Combining the shrines were fun and easy too. Well umm...that's about all you need to know about the site I suppose. Oh, and the sites' grand opening was on November 16th, 2005! For about 3 or 4 months the site was down (from february to may) due to internet problems, computer issues and my school dilemmas but now everything is going great and the site is currently being completely redone. All new things are being added and everything will be updated in an orderly fashion. So thanks to all the old visitors and new ones for all the support. :) |
