Team 7 is formed that includes the members Sasuke, Sakura and Naruto. She confesses how she feels...it sucks that it had to be Naruto in disguise after tying up the real Sasuke. Sasuke then tells Sakura how annoying she is. Ah love~
They are all going after the bell and Sakura is cast under a genjutsu and see's Sasuke's form bleeding and with injuries all over. She screams, shocked to find him that way and soon faints. Sasuke then recognizes her scream. Sakura then wakes up and wanders around but soon finds Sasuke with the only thing in view is his head and Sakura starts freaking out once more. Sasuke is confused by her actions as he watches her faint again. He watches over her until she wakes up and soonafter he reveals a few bits and pieces about his past even though she has no idea what he's talking about.
They had their first C-rank mission after all the horrible and annoying ones they had like chasing down cats, walking dogs, picking weeds etc. Sakura is on guard trying to defend Tazuna who is their host (person they were supposed to protect) and then the enemies aims for Sakura but Sasuke jumps in front of her.
Sasuke forces himself to embarassingly ask Naruto for the chakra tips he had asked Sakura before. Naruto doesn't tell him and Sasuke gets all "O_O"
Apparently, Sakura cares more for Sasuke than we thought. She's obviously sad he's laying on the ground dead. Even Tazuna feels bad for her and tells her its ok to cry about him.
The first words that came out of his mouth were "Sakura...your heavy." Its either her tears or her crying woke him up. Either way, he's alive!
Sasuke tells her that what she's capable of is even worse than Naruto. He says that instead of asking him on dates then she should go train herself to become stronger.
Sakura is asked to go on a walk by Sasuke but it was actually Iruka-sensei who was testing her abilities. He was conducting a preliminary exam to test out if all of his rookie 9 students really have gotten strong enough for the Chuunin Exam. Sakura passed of course because she knew Sasuke would never ask her out on a walk. The next time we see them, Sakura greets Naruto and Sasuke but she's not being her usual perky self which Sasuke noticed. He boosts up her mood by telling her that she was the best on the team with her genjutsu know-how. And when Rock Lee is asking her out, Sasuke just gives a "o.O" look towards him.
Rock Lee challenges Sasuke to a fight but then that's also not the only reason he came to confront them. He then turns to Sakura who gets a shiver of disgust running down her spine and Lee sends her some hilarious floating hearts to show how much he likes her. She dodges them and tells him not to ever do anything like that again because she had to dodge them like her life depended on it. After that, the fight started and its obvious he lost. He's falling and his fall is broken by Sakura who is there by his side.
Sakura is very sure of herself that she can pass this test because apparently she was one of the few genin who actually knew all the answers. She was also very confident in Sasuke's ability to pass the test with flying colors...too bad he doesn't know how to answer a single question.
Sasuke trusts Sakura so much he leaves the important "mission" all to her. And also, Sakura babbled on about Sasuke and how cool he is. :]
Sasuke fears for their safety (mostly Sakura's) when he is fighting that one ninja with the long tongue. Apparently, he's a Grass-nin. The Grass-nin then paralyzes them but in the nick of time, Sasuke saves both himself and Sakura by using pain to rid over his fear to get away and hide out.
With Sakura and Naruto's words of encouragement, Sasuke is able to fight Orochimaru (the fake Grass-nin) with everything he's got.
Sasuke is given the curse seal by Orochimaru and collapses into Sakura's arms. Sakura soon tries to nurse back to health both the unconcious Sasuke and Naruto.
Sasuke, Naruto and Rock Lee have been protecting her all this time and she thinks its about time she do the same for them because they are those who are deemed most precious to her. She's tired of just watching their backs, its about time they watch her's.
Sasuke awakens (fueled with an abnormal amount of chakra which is caused by the curse seal) and demands who the hell hurt Sakura. As Sasuke looks scarily vicious and ready to shed some bloodshed, Sakura thinks this isn't the Sasuke she's known all along and runs up to stop and hug him. This causes the curse seal to retract and Sasuke returns to his original state.
Sakura realizes how badly the curse seal is affecting Sasuke and tells him to not use the Sharingan. Sakura then helps walk Sasuke up the tower.
Worried about Sasuke's safety, Sakura tells Sasuke that she is gonna tell the sensei's about the mark on his neck. Sasuke understands how worried she is but viciously tells her not to (even though everyone can hear their conversation...)
Sakura soon has a flashback about the time when Sasuke told her not to tell Naruto because it was enough to have her worrying and fussing over him. He'd rather not have Naruto be doing it as well.
Sasuke has disappeared when she went to go visit him with a daffodil at hand alongside Ino who had a rose for him.
When Sakura found out about Sasuke and Kakashi disappearing for a month because they were training, she displays that she's not just a girl with a infatuation with Sasuke. She shows she truly cares about him and the curse seal.
Sakura and the others go off after Sasuke after he went off and followed Gaara where the real fight started.
After Sasuke overused his Chidori technique he is left weak because of all the chakra he's drained. Sakura rushes by his side to help him with whatever she can.
Gaara, who is set to intently kill Sasuke, is surprised at the fact that Sakura instead jumped up to defend Sasuke against him. Now, as she is in Gaara's grasp, Gaara has some flashbacks that suddenly creep up on him all due to the fact that Sakura willingly protected Sasuke with her life at risk.
Sasuke soon tells Naruto that he has to save Sakura because they are both important people to him and that he'd never want anyone to be killed in front of him again.
Sakura is soon released by the sand and Sasuke jumps up to save her. He tells Pakkun (the lil dog) to take care of her. Notice how his eyes are staring at her intently...
Sakura thanks Sasuke for saving her but Sasuke agonizingly informs her that it was in fact Naruto that had saved her. She looks to Naruto with a smile and is most likely thinking she should be nicer to him from now on. Sasuke, if you look closely is jealous...
Sakura sits by Sasuke's bed awaiting for Tsunade (fifth hokage's) return.
Once Tsunade heals Sasuke, Sakura filled with happiness from seeing him awake immediately hugs him and we hear no complaint from him whatsoever. Even Naruto is quiet through the whole exchange.
Not exactly a SasuSaku-filled moments episode but this is the second time Sasuke compliments her though. "Nice one, Sakura!"
The all famous tearjerker scene between them both. Sakura confessess, he says she's annoying. She threatens to scream if he leaves and instead of telling her words of parting...he tells her words of gratitude. This episode was voted #1 most touching scene in the whole anime.
Everybody has heard of Sasuke's leaving and 4 top Genin's and 1 Chuunin (Naruto, Neji, Chouji, Kiba and Shikamaru) go off to take him back with force. Even Shikamaru stated "Even you couldn't convince him otherwise to stay." Or something along the lines of that. And Naruto even acknowledged once again how in-love she really was with Sasuke and promised her that he'd bring him back.
Another episode with no SasuSaku whatsoever but Sakura does finally do something about her being "weak" and decides to train under the fifth hokage's side as her apprentice so that she won't be a hindrance anymore for Naruto and the others. And also so she can help bring back Sasuke 2 1/2 years from now.
